According to tradition The Florentine Republic parade will walk along the city centre on the occasion of the lighting of the 2016 Christmas Tree. Itinerary of the historical parade: at 4.45pm - start from Piazzetta di Parte Guelfa, then Via Pellicceria, Porta Rossa, Via Calimala, Piazza della Repubblica, Via Roma, Piazza San Giovanni as far as Piazza del Duomo at 5.30pm - stop at Piazza San Giovanni - flag-wavers performance of the Bandierai degli Uffizi at 6.10pm return to Piazzetta di Parte Guelfa through Piazza del Duomo, Piazza San Giovanni, Porta Rossa, Via Pellicceria.
